When my daughter’s dog ate my beloved 14mm Double Black Diamond I debated which paddle I should replace it with…
I eventually decided on the 14mm Ruby & I can honestly say that it has taken my game to the next level. I know that sounds silly, that a paddle can’t make that much difference - that a good player should be able to play with a wooden paddle, or a frying pan, but the 14mm Ruby is simply sublime.
Great spin, abundantly useful power & brilliant balance.
It is a game changer for me.. loved the 14mm. Both Control and Power is great. All in all a great paddle!
Consistency and control are the best qualities of this paddle. It gives great spin as well. Power is there if you need it but it isn’t poppy at all.
I really love the Ruby — I have 2 paddles in my bag and wouldn’t be without either one. My Ruby and my Double Black Diamond. I’ve tried many other brands and variations of their paddles and I’m always back to Six Zero — it’s very comfortable in hand and never disappoints. If there is a problem it’s that there is operator error LOL. Thanks 6.0.
Just a thought - when is any company going to start to offer grip variations on their paddles?
Really like the Ruby I just purchased.
Better spin than DBD but not as much pop.
I seem to have to hit my ground strokes harder to get the power.
But I am starting to trust the Ruby for control.
Control wins games!
Dorothy won’t need another pair because this Ruby slips into overdrive with speed in the straightaway and control in the corners.
Love both my 2 14 mm Ruby and 1 16 mm Ruby. My wife has taken over the 16 mm with very nice control results. I'm experimenting with 6, 12 and 15 gm lead for Doubles and Singkes
Finding the right paddle that better fits your play style, strengths, and weaknesses can be hard to do given the overwhelming number of choices. I tried and liked the Six Zero Double Black Diamond 16mm, but ultimately found the Ruby 16mm better fit my need for more control (at the expense of losing a little power). I dink, drop, and reset better with the Ruby. I enjoy focusing on placement over power and it’s working well for me. If any of this resonates with you, I recommend trying the Ruby.
Ruby is such a fantastic paddle.
Strokes, spin, control, and power are all properly harmonized paddles in my life, I can be sure.
While playing games, I often experience a ball that has never fallen over the net before. Also, the top spin is well delivered to the ball, allowing me to develop various strategies in the game. And I can dink stably in net play and strong performance in smash.
Everyone in the club is envious of my paddles.
I look forward to growing higher with Six Zero.
If you are into two-handed backhands, I find the Triple Black Diamond (Willininator) gives me more fingers on the grip.
I have played the 16mm Ruby since 12/24 and loved it as the state of the art.
The 14mm is more definitely more powerful, and I do not feel any significant loss of control.
I choose to play with the TBD because the handle is longer and I can get 9 fingers on the grip for a substantially better two-handed backhand.
