Ruby Pro Paddle Review
See how the Ruby Pro sets a new standard in performance with next-level spin, effortless power, and precision control.
Product FAQ
Customers praised this paddle's exceptional spin and grit, with many noting "outstanding maneuverability" and "tons of spin." The diamond texture surface offers excellent control and power. Some shoppers found the adjustment period challenging, with a few reporting surface wearing quickly or inconsistent grit. Most felt it delivered great value at $225, though concerns about small sweet spots and promotional timing emerged.

I’ve been playing with the 6.0 Six Zero Ruby Pro 14mm for a few sessions now. As an intermediate player (currently in the 3.5–3.75 range) transitioning over from a 19mm paddle, here are my initial thoughts:
What’s Working Great:
* Aggressive Face & Spin: The texture on the surface is fantastic. It grips
the ball extremely well for spin.
* Pop & Power: The 14mm core provides noticeable pop off the face for
fast exchanges at the kitchen.
* Build Quality: Premium, durable construction overall.
Where I’m Struggling / Adjusting:
* Grip Thickness: The stock grip felt a little thin for my hands out of the
box, though adding an overgrip helped fix the feel a little.
* Impact & Speed: Coming from a plush 19mm core, the 14mm setup
moves very fast but transfers noticeably more feedback to my arm and
shoulder. I’ve noticed some extra joint strain after longer sessions.
Overall Verdict:
It’s a high-performing paddle, but I’m still figuring out if the 14mm speed is worth the reduction in dwell time and shock absorption for my body and play style. I’m planning to give it a few more sessions to see if I adapt, but I may eventually need to test a 16mm version for a bit more forgiveness and plushness.
Question for the 6.0 Team:
Have you had other players experiencing arm fatigue when making the jump from a thick 19mm paddle to the 14mm Ruby Pro? Would you recommend tweaking weight setups (like adding tungsten/lead tape to expand the sweet spot), or is transitioning to a 16mm core the better long-term route for more absorption? Would love to hear your thoughts!
good paddle but some large dead spots at the lower part of the paddle. Off-center hits are very noticeable. Otherwise good pop and control.
The best paddle I’ve had so far! Beautiful control and gives me the perfect speed and control I need. I tell everyone to get it! This is by far the best out of all the paddles I have bought. I love 6.0!
Super powerful, super grippy.Allows me to play way better with less effort. I’m in love with the Ruby Pro!
Ruby Pro 14mm is actually insane!!! There is so much spin it's almost ILLEGAL! Love love love this paddle!!!
I love my paddle ruby pro . Ruby pro has everything since I use this paddle it make difference to other I used.
Bought my SixZero Ruby Pro at my local club. Had played their demo was looking for same grit & spin. This paddle even new did not have much if any of the diamond grit that lasts3x. Owned for 2 weeks both my original Rubys shape shots and spin serves better. Not sure why all 3 of the Ruby Pros in stock lacked grit? Mine after 2 weeks of play is smooth. Thank you George
My friend got a Ruby Pro in November and the surface have a lot of grit..rough surface.
The one that I received last week has a smoother surface.
I was under the impression that what I was getting is one with the rougher surface and not this one.
I purchased mine from Pickleball Central and I have returned it.
So what changed between last year's Ruby Pro and this year's Ruby Pro?
This is the 2nd time that I am posting this review.
Six Zero sent me an email that they will get in touch with me.
Then they sent a follow-up email on how they did?
Grrrr....
My friend got one last year and it has a rough texture. The one that I received yesterday was smoother. My expectation was I was buying a paddle with the same rough texture and not a smoother texture.
Was there a change done?
I will be returning this one.
You will not find another paddle that has a surface like the Ruby Pro. Loved playing with it.
The Ruby Pro is very different to the Ruby… it has the control of the DBD but with much much more power, pop and spin… a very nice paddle…congrats to Six Zero
The is my main paddle for singles play bc it has the pop, power and control that suits my style. Spin is top notch also. Crazy amount of grit ! I get a lot more passing shots that are low and fast compared to the 14 Ruby. Pro tip: to save.
Crazy good paddle. Enhanced spin, power and control. Increased stability on shots and spin on slices and topspin. The power coming off the Ruby Pro is amazing.
This was my first purchase of a 6.0 paddle. My son has used a 6.0 paddle for some time and has been impressed with it. Though I have been happy with the paddle I had been using, I took advantage of your birthday sale. One of my first impressions that I really liked was that the octagon profile of the handle had slightly wider flats that matched the faces of the paddle. Sometimes I loosen my grip too much and that wider flat allows me to "feel" where the paddle face is. The other feature I was impressed with is how much top spin I could generate, it is phenomenal.
Great paddle. Works perfect for me. I recommend the paddle for pickelball players who like power games.
This paddle is fantastic! It has plenty of power, and hitting the sweet spot feels incredible.
