Amazing paddle. Elevated my game! It’s got a fantastic texture, lots of control, make sure to get a paddle eraser too so you can clean it.
I really love this paddle
It feels great in the hand and gives excellent power when serving.
Highly recommended!
3rd day of using the DBD and loving it so far. The control is superb and the elongated handle perfect for two-handed backhand shots!
I freaking love my ‘DBD’! I've been playing since last year and I've tried several different paddles prior to this one. This is a very forgiving paddle, but still performs with plenty of power. My placement has improved dramatically. My hand speed is one of the better parts of my game and I like playing up at the net. So I wanted to take advantage of a lighter weight paddle to see if I could build on what I was doing. Honestly, it doesn't feel much lighter. I can't tell the difference in which is heavier when holding two paddles. I have noticed my hand speed seems to have increased as well. This paddle is the best price on the market for the quality after using discount ‘Alpha10’. I highly recommend to anyone who wants to improve their game.
As a racquetball player with large hands I love the elongated handle. It allows me a double handed backhand. A large sweet spot is terrific. Control is noticeably improved and I’m winning more games. 👍
I guess I’m about a 3.5 - 4.0 player playing rec PB for 5 years and have tried a bunch of paddles in the “affordable” price range- and hands down my Double Black Diamond paddle beats even some big named $300 paddles.
I bought mine and after letting my friends try it, just about everyone in our group is now playing with either the Double Black Diamond or the Black Diamond. (It’s funny during paddle up play to see a row of the same paddles)
I tended to be a blaster but this paddle gave me the confidence to get more into the softer and controlled style game… but there’s still plenty of power for driving serves and overhead slams.
You can see I have a little collection of paddles I’ve progressed through and even though I liked my Vatic Pro, even my wife switched over to 6.0 Double Black Diamond.
There are plenty of glowing reviews on YouTube so I won’t repeat those technical specs. For me the paddle’s light weight and balance make this a fast paddle at the net and the fat sweet spot gives lots of control and placement over other paddles I’ve used. Resets from blasters are pretty easy to take the heat off and put it in the kitchen or pop it back to them with some speed.
The company staff and service is great… which to me only adds to getting one of these paddles a no brainer.
I bought a 16mm DBD in January 2025, and loved the paddle. My previous thermoformed, Toray-faced, carbon-fiber paddle was very good, but the DBD is a step up in all areas that matter. My previous paddle was an elongated design, so I gave the Elongated 15mm DBD a try in hope of getting a bit more reach and pop. It delivered in spades - it simply plays better than the 16mm DBD (for me), with better feel, better spin, and a tad more power. Just a great step up for me, it was a nice surprise finding how much better the paddle works (for me). As a happy aside, I gave my original DBD to my daughter, who immediately played noticeably better pickleball in all phases of the game. She continues to gush about the DBD three weeks later. Kept it up, Six Zero!
Been playing with 14mm dbd for 2 years and loved it. However, when i saw elongated, i thought it would help with 2 handed backhand and add a bit of "whip" to my drives. I got it a week before nationals and took him bronze in singles. No loss of power or control....very satisfied
My go to paddle for control and speed.
