블랙 오팔 14mm

I really want to love this paddle, and I do most of the time. The often cited small sweet spot is real, and I’m playing around with set up to improve. I loved my double black diamonds, and I want to feel the same about this paddle. The power, pop and spin are legitimate, but that tiny sweet spot is challenging. Only two weeks in, so giving it 4 out of 5 to account for my adaptation.

Ordered this when it first came out and was really in for a huge surprised.
it's a very quick paddle and very responsive and i used it for all my singles tournament thoroughly enjoyed the power it gives. The sweet spot is tighter compared to Coral and precisely because of that i'm training harder to get it on point!

I own all of the “Next Gem” paddles. I can honestly say that the Black Opal is the finest paddle on the market in the right hands. This paddle is for advanced players who can consistently make contact in the center of the paddle and can impart multiple types of spin. Right now my main paddle is the Coral Hybrid and my tournament paddle is the Coral Elongated. Once the Black Opal comes out with an elongated version, this will change the Black Opal Hybrid/Black Opal Elongated.

My 2nd time playing with the brand new padel and the one side started to bubble. In fairness defects are possible and it was replaced quickly. The 2nd padel has got more power than the double black diamond I previously played with but the Opal is not as forgiving. The dead spots around the edges, especially at the top is really dead. Yes this means I need to strike closer to the middle but it overall is less forgiving and is better suited for players who hit the ball more consistently in the middle.
I am really enjoying the extra power which is noticeable. I would really like to make it work but at this stage will be keeping my old padel close by.

I’ve got the Coral but wanted something with a bit more punch when playing singles I bought the black Opal and balanced it up to what I like and found that it was an easy transition from the coral to the Black opal when playing singles
It gave me the little bit more punch. I needed on my drives and the result was a gold medal in a state open competition. Can’t read it highly enough.😁

So happy with my Opal. Has taken time to master it but people with good technique will find it is perfect. Has great spin, which suits me, and superb control. Can't praise it enough. 6 zero also gets a
10/10 for service and response.

As a player with a weaker backhand this paddle is really transforming my game. The extra power that the Opal gives enables me to do a decent singlehanded backhand from the back of the court. Love it!

takes some getting use to. Paddle is a bit light for being a power paddle, I will have to add some tape/weight. Definitely for a more advanced player

There is something about the Black Opal. It feels like no other paddle. The power is there when needed and the control is spot on.
I was a little hesitant after seeing other reviews about uncontrollable power and a small sweet spot, but I have no such issues. Just another great paddle from Six Zero.

I play 5+ times a week at an highly competitive level and used multiple brands of padded (Joola, Engage, Selkirk, etc). The Black Opal is the best paddle I’ve played with ever. Great pop and control. Sweet spot is slightly smaller, but for more advanced player, there’s zero sacrifice… all upside.
