I already own a standard Double Black Diamond that I've had for over a year... and I had every intention of using the Liberty when it arrived... but man... it's just so beautiful in it's display case. Right now it's sitting on my mantle and I might just keep it on display! :)

Infinity Black Diamond (BDi) is an elegant paddle from 6.0. It is very well built. Great swing weight enables faster hands than 16 mm Black Diamond (BD) while maintaining the same high spin rate. This paddle is for an aggressive player (aka. Banger!) who want to tone down the power and allow excellent control. The dinking is “soft” and the put away power is good. If you like pure power and very “poppy” you may have to look at Ruby and BD instead. The price is high but discount code “Kong” brings the price down 10%. The 6.0 infinite paddles both BDi and DBDi provide the best “feel” of sweet spot compared to the rest of the lineup. Only difference between BDi and DBDi is that DBDi is tiny bit softer and a bit less poppy when compared side by side. Seriously, infinity paddles are piece of art. I highly recommend to buy 6.0 paddle edgeguard tapes to protect the edge. In conclusion, BDi is the most complete paddle from 6.0. Currently Jaume Vich has been playing with BDi in PPA tournaments. Highly recommended paddle!

When my daughter’s dog ate my beloved 14mm Double Black Diamond I debated which paddle I should replace it with…
I eventually decided on the 14mm Ruby & I can honestly say that it has taken my game to the next level. I know that sounds silly, that a paddle can’t make that much difference - that a good player should be able to play with a wooden paddle, or a frying pan, but the 14mm Ruby is simply sublime.

I have played with most of the 6.0 paddles in the last 12 months. I can tell you that this is the most control paddle offering by 6.0. For me, it is more control than double black diamond (DBD). The paddle is soft and play similar to Selkirk Luxx. With this price point, I have no hesitation in recommending players who value control and placement over power. If you are an aggressive and more offensive player (aka. “banger”) this paddle is not for you (look more toward Ruby 14 and Black Diamond for that). I found the coupon code “Kong” gives an extra 10% discount at 6.0 website purchase. Great sweet spot. Easy for dinking and yet fast enough at the kitchen. This definitely a “reset machine”. The put away power is decent, but you can easily use placement to put the ball away. Spin is very good (on par with DBD if not slightly better). If you are looking for a control paddle and decent “pop”, this is it. Quartz is a bang for a buck Selkirk Luxx alternative or a more controlled version of DBD. Happy dinking!

A solid paddle that shouldn’t be compared to other gen 1.5 or 2 paddles. This is a control paddle and it does it well, especially if you add a little weight on the lower half. This is not a poppy or powerful paddle, they have the black or double black diamond for that if that’s what you want. This is a solid paddle if your group is up to a 3.5 level. You can play higher, just expect longer rallies. If you are struggling with your dinks or resets, this paddle can help you. I would recommend this paddle to any beginner/intermediate player. I’ve enjoyed playing this paddle, working on better placement over power.

This is my second DD purchase in less than a year. My finance plays a great paddle B&B Filth but slightly preferred the feel and overall performance of my DBD so I surprised her with the purchase of your “Liberty Edtion” DBD. I purchased the Black Diamond Power in October '23. I drill, play, or practice 6 or 7 days a week (~25-30 games a week). Nearly a year later and it's almost shocking how durable this paddle is.
I hit hard and while it shows some slight markings from the endless beating I give it, the pop and spin haven't degraded at all that I can tell. The face texture of the composite still has great definition unlike a lot of other paddles I see where there is a smooth spot from repetitive use. I constantly get asked what paddle I'm playing with and enthusiastically brag about my Black Diamond.

I purchased the DBD Control paddle from a pickleball store. It is still under the 30 day trial period. I purchased the paddle with the pink edge guard and it started getting large yellow streaks on just the edge guard. Previous to this, I have only had paddles with black edge guards. I have not used any chemicals on it, have not exposed to extreme temperatures, have not left it in the car, and have only stored it with the included cover on. I am wondering if this happens to all light colored edge guards or if this is an anomaly. I have tried an internet search and have found nothing. Again, it is only cosmetic but I wonder if this yellowing will continue. I don’t think edge guard tape will even cover it completely plus I don’t want to add even a microscopic amount of weight to it because it’s right at my weight threshold. Anyone else have this occur with this paddle or another brand?

Finally, a true to U.S. size performance t-shirt from 6.0. It is a high quality performance t-shirt that wicks sweat very well. I have worn this playing lots of pickleball every week for last three weeks. The quality is the same as (if not better) “Dri-Fit” from a big sport brand.
